Guided by CCMC’s Vision and Mission, the Lay Ministry Staff for Discipleship & Nurture and Family Life Ministry supports the growth of the Discipleship & Nurture and Family Life Ministries by coordinating programmes, equipping volunteers, and encouraging healthy Christian formation in individuals and families.
The incumbent is accountable to the Pastor-in-Charge (PIC) and works closely with relevant Pastors, Chairpersons, and ministry leaders. The role requires a willingness to work non-traditional schedules, including evenings, weekends, and occasional public holidays, with flexibility to take time off on weekdays, subject to prevailing church policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Discipleship & Nurture Ministry
a. Vision, Strategy & Programme Support
• Work with the relevant Chairman and Pastor to support and develop the Discipleship & Nurture Ministry.
• Assist in implementing existing discipleship initiatives.
b. Teaching, Organisation & Resources
• Organise and publicise discipleship programmes and events, including coordinating registration and overseeing their implementation.
• Facilitate selected training, classes or sessions as needed.
• Assist in sourcing and recommending suitable discipleship materials.
• Conduct / teach courses as directed/planned by the PIC, relevant Pastor and Chairman.
c. Volunteer & Leader Development
• Identify and support volunteers serving in discipleship ministries.
• Provide encouragement, training and support to volunteers.
2. Family Life Ministry
a. Family Ministry Support & Direction
• Work with the relevant Chairman and Pastor to support the Family Life Ministry.
• Coordinate Family Life programmes (e.g. parenting workshops, marriage enrichment, purity series, etc).
• Evaluate programmes and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other ministries (Children, Youth, Young Adults, Growth Groups) on cross‑ministry initiatives.
• Assist with communications, including announcements, emails, and publicity materials.
b. Parental Partnership & Coaching
• Provide practical resources and encouragement to parents and caregivers.
• Support efforts to strengthen partnership between families and church ministries.
c. Marriage & Adult Formation
• Support and coordinate initiatives that strengthen marriages and adult discipleship (e.g. pre‑marital courses, retreats).
• Assist in organising related events and resources.
3. Pastoral Care, Coordination & Church‑Wide Responsibilities
• Provide pastoral support to church members as appropriate.
• Serve during weekend services and selected church events.
Carry out responsibilities as assigned by the Pastor‑in‑Charge.
4. Requirements
• Relevant theological studies, qualifications and/or experience in similar ministry capacities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with pastors, chairpersons, volunteers, and families.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and church events, as required.

Guided by CCMC’s Vision and Mission, the Growth Groups and Young Adults Lay Ministry Staff partners the church’s pastoral and lay leadership to cultivate healthy, Christ-centred communities through Growth Groups and the Young Adults ministry.
This role focuses on supporting and strengthening Growth Group and Young Adult leaders, helping them build healthy, Christ-centred communities where members experience belonging and spiritual growth. This role is primarily focused on leader support and ministry coordination rather than direct pastoral oversight of all groups.

Key Responsibilities
1. Growth Groups Ministry
a. Vision & Alignment
• Work closely with the Chairman and Pastor (Growth Groups) to support the implementation of the ministry’s vision and plans.
b. Pastoral Care & Ministry Support
• Assist in providing pastoral care and visitations to Growth Groups and their members.
• Encourage and support Growth Group Leaders through regular contact and mentoring.
• Support leader gatherings for encouragement and renewal.
c. Leader Identification, Training & Development
• Help identify and equip and current and emerging Growth Group Leaders.
• Assist in planning and coordinating leader training and mentoring.
• Provide guidance and resources to help leaders care well for their groups.
• Assist in recommending and sharing suitable leadership resources.
d. Member Integration & Group Formation
• Support processes to welcome and place members into appropriate Growth Groups, with sensitivity to life stage, spiritual needs, and relational dynamics.
• Assist in the formation of new Growth Groups as the ministry grows.
e. Systems, Data & Administration
• Maintain and update Growth Group records and data.
• Assist in planning and organising key Growth Group events.
2. Young Adults Ministry
• Work closely with the Chairperson and Pastor (Young Adults) to support ministry direction and activities.
• Encourage and support Young Adults Growth Group Leaders.
• Collaborate in planning and running selected Young Adults programmes and events.
3. General: Pastoral Care, Coordination & Church‑Wide Responsibilities
• Provide pastoral support to church members as appropriate.
• Serve during weekend services and selected church events.
• Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the Pastor‑in‑Charge.

Key Responsibilities:
Covenant Kids
1. Work with the Church School Superintendent (CS) and Committee members to organise Children’s Church Services. Identify, purchase, customise, and/or develop learning materials and resources that engage children in Bible-learning activities.
2. Organise seasonal special events for children, including planning and executing the annual key event, Vacation Bible School (VBS).
3. To assist in teachers’ training by organising or identifying at least two courses a year for the teachers to attend, which will develop their teaching effectiveness and/or help them grow spiritually.
4. Identify, purchase, customize, and/or develop teaching materials and resources for teachers. Help teachers to customize the teaching materials as needed.
5. Work closely with CK Committee in planning and be in charge of administering the total work of the Sunday School, including maintaining general records and annual Sunday School budget.
Ministry at MGS
1. Partner with the Christian Ministry Staff (CMS) to support Christian activities and outreach at Methodist Girls' School (Primary), including, when needed, sharing devotions at assemblies and chapel services. Serve as a consistent bridge between church and school, being a familiar presence who connects students to church life and supports their spiritual growth.
2. Serve alongside teachers and leaders in the 1st Singapore Company GB at MGS to provide spiritual input and pastoral care. Support key programmes (e.g. devotions, Bible studies) to nurture the spiritual formation of GB girls and facilitate their integration into church life.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
3. Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently,
4. A team player who drives collaboration across ministries, CK team and volunteers.
5. Experience in Children’s Ministry is a plus.
6. Theological training is an advantage.
7. Must be able to work on Sundays and be present at Sunday School to organise and ensure smooth operations of the Sunday School worship service.

The AV Executive provides audio-visual and AV-related IT support for the church’s worship services, programmes, and events, working closely with ministry teams, volunteers, and external vendors to ensure smooth and reliable execution.
This role includes hands on operation as well as coordination, maintenance, and volunteer leadership within the AV ministry.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide audio-visual (sound, visual, lighting) and AV-related IT support for Covenant Community Methodist Church’s worship services, events, trainings, and meetings
• Operate and maintain AV equipment and inventory across worship venues.
• Support audio and video recording of events and liaise with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
• Manage, maintain, and evaluate AV and multimedia assets, including recommending or acquiring equipment where necessary.
• Roster, train and oversee volunteers serving in AV roles, including equipment operation and venue SOPs.
• Source, coordinate, and oversee audio‑visual service contracts, ensuring alignment with ministry needs, budget, and service standards.
Requirements
• At least one year of experience in events or live-production AV, preferably in Audio Lead or Assistant-related roles.
• Able to lead and work with volunteers and collaborate with event stakeholders.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn and adapt when necessary.
• Able to remain calm and respond effectively in high-pressure or live-service situations.
• Comfortable with budgeting and resource allocation.
• Experience in music and/or media production is an advantage.
Technical Skills
• Experience operating Allen & Heath and Yamaha audio equipment, and live sound mixing.
• Experience with video switchers and cameras.
• Experience with setting up for live shows, basic YouTube livestream setup.
• Familiar with Mac OS.
• Willingness to learn and operate/familiarity with ProPresenter 7.
• Troubleshooting skills and understanding of signal flow.
• Video production, video & audio editing experiences are advantages.
This position requires working on weekends and evenings.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage room bookings and prepare facilities for services, meetings, and events.
• Oversee maintenance and operational readiness of church spaces and equipment.
• Coordinate part-time support staff (cleaners, gardeners, refreshment helpers).
• Lead the Traffic Marshal Ministry and contribute to church safety and security.
• Liaise with vendors, service providers, and Methodist Girls’ School operations.
What We’re Looking For
• Physically strong and agile; willing to set up furniture and handle logistics.
• Calm, quick-thinking, and adaptable in dynamic situations.
• Strong Interpersonal and communication skills; able to relate to people of all levels.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings. Sunday work is essential.
Bonus Skills
• Experience in facilities or property management.
• Familiarity with AV equipment, walkie-talkies, and basic tech tools.
• Knowledge of emergency response, traffic safety, or first aid.
