Grandparenting is a special grand calling, according to the Bible. Grandparents can draw inspiration and guidance from biblical case studies, some of which will be examined in the first half of the talk. The second half will deal with some practical issues connected with grandparenting, from how to pass on the faith to becoming story tellers and friends to our grandchildren. Those who are already grandparents or expecting to become grandparents will find this talk helpful.

About the Speaker

Dr Robert Solomon served as Bishop of The Methodist Church in Singapore from 2000 - 2012. He served previously as a medical doctor, church pastor, principal of Trinity Theological College and president of the National Council of Churches of Singapore. Dr Solomon has degrees in medicine, theology, intercultural studies, and a PhD in pastoral theology from the University of Edinburgh. 

He has written more than 60 books, including Growing Old Gracefully and A Grand Calling (on grandparenting).
