CCMC PRAYER SERVICE 8PM, TUESDAY 4 AUGUST 2026

 

1. CCMC

a) Thank God for God's Grace:

• For helping CCMC move into the 2nd half of this year smoothly through July with Youth, Pre-Pledge and Pledge Sundays as well as giving CCMC the privilege to observe "MGS Sunday" on 26 July to celebrate the many years of partnership in ministry between CCMC and MGS.

• For the ministry of Ps Rufus at CCMC the last 3 years.

• For sending Ps Linda Pang to CCMC as our new Assistant Pastor wef 1 Aug.

 

b) For our Family Day on Sat 12 Sep, 2pm -

To have God's favour upon us as we come as one church family to celebrate 32 years of CCMC and God’s faithfulness to us, and that we will also invitefriends & family to experience church community, especially those who still need to know Jesus or who have not been to church for some time.

 

2. MGS

a) Thank God for the joyous celebrations at MGS' 139th Founder's Day Thanksgiving Service on 24 July and Dinner on 25 July.

 

b) For the Principal Ms Yoong, the School Leaders, and Staff to have God's grace upon them to be able to lead and teach their students effectively.

 

c) For each student to be "rooted in God's love" as they learn and grow during their time in school.

 

Personal items of Thanksgiving and Petitions may be shared, if the group members wish to do so.

3. For Singapore -

a)  61st National Day:

• Thank God for blessing Singapore these 61 years with "peace, prosperity and progress for our nation". 

• For preparations for the nation’s 61st birthday celebrations on 9 August and that all proceedings may go smoothly.

 

b) For wisdom and clarity of thought amongst the nation’s leaders as they continue to uphold fundamental values and do their best for Singapore in volatile and uncertain times.

 

c) For churches and Christians to be salt and light wherever God has placed us in our lives to bring God's truth and love to all.

 

d) For the Lord’s protection for all who are vulnerable and in need and for the church to respond as needed.

4. Ministry Focus: CCMC Administrative Committees

a) Nominations Committee

This Committee shall, amongst other matters:

• nominate to the CCMC Local Conference the necessary officers and members of CCMC’s Local Church Executive Committee, and committees as required.

• serve throughout the year to guide the CCMC Local Church Executive Committee to identify and recruit leaders, working in relationship to the committees of the Local Church Executive Committee in both its nominations and personnel guidance.

 

b) Property Management Committee

This Committee shall, amongst other matters:

• be responsible for the managing, repairing, and maintaining of any and all properties of CCMC.

• support the ministry needs of CCMC with appropriate equipment and facilities.

• be a blessing to MGS by CCMC’s presence, expertise, and shared vision for the spaces we both use.

 

c) Finance Committee

This Committee shall, amongst other matters, organise and administer the financial resources of the local church under the guidance of the Local Church Executive Committee by:

• stewarding CCMC’s finances prudently so respective ministries can work effectively towards God’s Kingdom and ensure that CCMC’s financial position is protected.

• reviewing CCMC’s Financial Manual, financial processes, and procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose and in compliance with regulations and TRAC policies.

• supporting the 3-year plan of CCMC based on the themes of Faith, Hope and Love while guiding the ministries’ expenditures towards fulfilling the church’s vision “To Know God Deeply and To Make Him Known Widely”.

 

d) Church Governance Committee

This Committee shall, amongst other matters:

• monitor and encourage good stewardship practice in Finance and Administration.

• review the adequacy of internal controls and monitor the implementation of the recommendations made in the internal audit report.

• maintain vigilance on potential conflict of interest and interested persons situations.
